THE SOUNDS OF CHRISTMAS...OVERLY'S STYLE...

As you drive the lights and walk the sights, you will hear your favorite Christmas carols from past and present, all performed with a country flare. Throughout the Village, guests will hear the sounds of Christmas through a state-of-the-art sound system that rivals any sound system used for major live concerts nationwide. More than 4 miles of audio cable connect all the speakers, which use more than 10,000 watts of power.

On special nights, local entertainers, including school and church groups perform medleys of their favorite holiday classics near the crackle of the bonfire. What better way to get into the holiday spirit than by starting an impromptu caroling session of your own while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate and warming your hands near the bonfire.

A STROLL THROUGH CHRISTMAS VILLAGE

Encompassing five acres inside the light display you will delight in the charm and nostalgia of Christmas Village at Overly's Country Christmas®. Christmas Village is designed and set up to be reminiscent of the miniature villages found under Christmas trees of holidays past, with a country-style theme, of course. Enjoy these wonderful highlights of Christmas Village.

HARTMAN STATION

The clang of the crossing bells and the shriek of the steam whistle herald your arrival at Hartman Station, the area's largest G-gauge model train display. Stop by and see the rolling stock of Dr. King Hartman and the four-season layout designed by John and Jan Vogt of Brentwood Station. Donations received through Hartman Station provide for the continued upkeep and improvements of this nostalgic train display and, in part, provide funding for Leader Dogs for the Blind, and allows us to share in the happiness of the visually impaired by helping achieve the ability to travel with confidence.

OVERLY'S WATERWHEEL AND WISHING WELL

No matter what our ages, we all have wished upon a star or thrown a coin into a well. Here you will find the Overly Wishing Pond where you can make a wish and maybe all you dreams will come true. The Overly waterwheel is an entirely water-driven wheel that was designed and built by one of our many volunteers. Stop by and toss a coin into the wishing well. Proceeds from the wishing well benefit the “Lights for Little Ones” endowment fund.

SANTA'S WORKSHOP

Santa's workshop is filled with toys from holidays past. What a nostalgic walk down memory lane for the adults as they relive a part of their holiday memories by seeing toys that brought them so much joy as children. And no visit to Overly's would be complete without an opportunity for the children to visit with everyone's favorite jolly elf–Santa! Santa is available each night through Christmas Eve. And don't forget...he's making his list and checking it twice!

THE MANGER

Our traditional Christmas nativity is one of the only life-sized displays east of the Mississippi. The holiday crèche wouldn't be complete without the live animals. Ditto, our donkey, along with his three sheep friends, Huey, Dewey and Mickey delight children of all ages.

HENNY AND TWINKLE

Children, and adults too, will delight in whimsical conversations with the areas only talking Christmas tree. And, Overly's celestial mascot, Twinkle, can be seen frolicking in Christmas Village greeting visitors and taking wishes.

HOLIDAY BONFIRE

Blazing brightly in the wintry night, the Overly's holiday bonfire has become the heart of Christmas Village. Each evening, more than a cord of wood is burned, so that guests may surround the crackling flames to enjoy not only the warmth of the fire, but also to bask in the warmth of the holiday spirit.

Filled with rustic charm and more holiday gifts than you will believe, C. Edgar & Sons General Store will inspire you with holiday gift giving ideas for everyone on your shopping list. Our gift shop features holiday ornaments and decorations and commemorative items galore.

Local artisans display their handmade gifts, crafts and decorations. These one-of-a-kind creations are available during the holiday season only at Overly's Country Christmas.

Some of the sights of Overly's Country Christmas® have been turned into collectible Cat's Meow pieces including our bonfire, C. Edgar & Sons General Store, the manger, and Ditto, everyone's favorite donkey. You will want to take home part of the Overly's tradition or perhaps the entire set!

Enjoy the scents of the holidays with one of our candles, all of which have been created and hand-poured exclusively for Overly's Country Christmas®. One of our favorites is “Angels on High.” This candle, when burned, has a fragrance reminiscent of the aftershave worn by two of our angels--our founding father and our visionary. Although they no longer walk among us, they watch over us from above. We hope this fragrance will remind you, not only of them, but also of other angels who guide you from above.

THE TASTES OF AN OLD-FASHIONED COUNTRY CHRISTMAS

You'll want to sample some of the delicious country-style eats and treats while strolling through Christmas Village.

SWEETE SHOPPE

For those of you with a sweet tooth, the Sweete Shoppe is a must-see, must-taste stop in Christmas Village. This tiny shop is filled with homemade fudge and handmade candies made especially for Overly's Country Christmas®. You'll want to sample the different varieties of fudge before choosing some to take home with you. And while you're there, the little ones will want to select their favorite flavor of lollipop for the ride, too!

COUNTRY KITCHEN

Country fare is on the menu every night in the Country Kitchen. You'll enjoy burgers and hotdogs cooked on the fire grill. Warm up from the inside out by sipping on hot beverages including hot chocolate, cappuccino and warm apple cider. And of course, hot chocolate always tastes best when you enjoy it by the bonfire.

HARRY EDGAR'S KETTLE KORN & SNACKS

Made fresh, on-site daily, Overly's country-style kettle korn is a favorite of our guests year after year. Our kettle korn satisfies the craving for both sweet and salty in the same crunchy bite. And because it's popped daily, you get the freshest kettle korn possible. You can also enjoy delicious soft pretzels and nachos & cheese at Harry Edgar's Kettle Korn & Snacks.
